3Internet Site. Found an individual who owns a book of recorded deaths in Floyd. She did a lookup and found Joseph P. age 12 and James L. age 8. The cause was epilepsy. The book covers 1853-1872, except that there were no deaths recorded for 1856, 1857, 1863 or 1864. I was hoping to find Leroy's mother Lydia Bartlett.

Sarah married Henry KING 4 sep 1827 in Montgomery Co. VA. (latter Floyd Co. VA)I have Gardner BARTLETT as Ruben's father. Henry and Sarah BARTLETT KING had 7 children. Their daug., Nancy KING, married George Riley BARTLETT. G.R. BARTLETT served in the CSA. My father(who is 85)and his brother(who is 86) relates tails of the Civil War from "Grandpa Riley" and others from up on Bent Mt.,Floyd Co. VA. One of these is about George Riley's family near Atlanta,GA during the Civil War. He did'nt get along with his wife so, he left her and their children in GA and remarried in VA. If I could connect with the BARTLETT's in GA I could help with all the info. I have on these BARTLETT's in Floyd Co.VA. You can see I have two BARTLETT lines and two KING lines.
